Finally end of April, all beta testing and the final versions of the detailed manuals were complete and Aerosoft could release the Katana 4X. Many see in this version a new reference for general aviation aircraft. This due to it's extensive failure modelling and the required maintenance to keep the Katana in good shape. Hope you will and enjoy endless flights - low and slow.

New planes to come soon... E-mail

After the successful launch of the Lancair IV-P at ORBX (Lancair product page), I'm back to work with to former team members of Digital Aviation on two very different planes to be released early 2011.

The first one is a complete new release of the Diamond Aircraft Katana. Marcel Felde once did one for FS2004 and now is in beta phase for a complete new FSX version with a multitude of additional features.

The second one is the Bombardier CRJ-700/900, which is developed in cooperation with Aerosoft and Hans Hartman programing all the gauges and systems simulation. Progress on both planes can be best viewed on the Aerosoft forum preview section

Guess you all know the famous scenery maker FTX/ORBX  (www.fullterrain.com), which made the beautiful sceneries covering all of Australia with many airports either by them or a very active freeware group called OZx.

Over the last 3 month I have been intensively working with Jared on the Lancair project. It is now in final testing and will be released soon. Part of the fun to develop flight dynamics for aircraft is the chance to fly them in real to gather impressions on the flight behavior, it's sensitivity on the controls or just get a plain impression of it's capability. With N41UR located in Grenchen, I had multiple chanced to fly the aircraft and the following video will give you an impression from a 2 hrs flight. We did some specific testing but also in the second half of the 20 minutes, it gives an impression of what it means to fly this beautiful sports plane over the top of the Alps.
